We began in 1975, in the home of Dr Norvell Peterson, with a small fellowship of believers prayerfully seeking God’s leading to establish a new ministry based on the Word of God in the North Shore area
We sought incorporation, voted in our first pastor, Rev Walter C. Ross, Jr. and elected a board of elders. Shortly after, we became the only church to be incorporated in MA since 1970. Until a permanent church building could be established, the church met at the Ravenswood Chapel, Magnolia, MA In 1976 the church purchased the present sight of 8 Thompson Street (formerly 78 Concord St.). This included a 9-room house and 13 acres of land. Construction for the church began in 1977.
The new church building was dedicated in 1979 and the second phase which included the education wing and lighthouse was completed in 1986. We have been blessed with the faithful service of three former Pastors:
Walter C Ross, founder and Pastor for 19 years
Timothy Malvaso, faithfully pastored us for 2 years
Robert E. Jarvis, faithfully served as Elder for 20 years and as Senior Pastor for 18 additional years.
Our current pastor, Peter Bertozzi, served as Associate Pastor for 2 years under Pastor Jarvis and is now our Senior Pastor.
Throughout the years our vision and mission has never changed. Our purpose and passion is to promote the worship of God, build faith and spiritual strength in the believers, and spread the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to our family, our community, our country, and our world.
